Both fighters start carefully, trading punches from distance. Schultz shoots in for a takedown and puts Horodecki down. “The Lion” goes to work inside Horodecki’s guard, posturing up and landing some heavy right hands from the top. Horodecki is unable to break his posture as Schultz moves to half-guard and continues raining down huge right hands. Horodecki is in serious trouble, and when he fails to respond to Schultz’s punches the referee moves in to stop the bout.

Ryan Schultz defeats Chris Horodecki via TKO (punches) at 2:51 of round one. Schultz is the IFL lightweight champion.

    hey phil its …
hey phil its murderface, im ur friend but that was a knock out. when you are unconcious and the ref stops it its a KO. when you are most likely going to get knocked out or choked out and its stopped it is a technical KO. horodecki’s arm being up and flopping around wasnt by design, his arm was flailing because he was unconcious. example: ken shamrock v. tito ortiz 2 and 3. thats the difference between a tko (2) and a KO (3) and im not a douche

    youve reason …
youve reason however people seem to have it wrong thinking that japs, koreans, asian heritedge etc. fighters are among the best when really they are the second lowest ranked in the world in MMA.

    i think it depends …
i think it depends on the weight class. though heavier asians usually dont fair very well with few exceptions they usually dominate the lighter weight classes where most asians fall under. also i know ifl has a tokyo team under yasuda, but besides hamanaka are there any asian fighters in ifl?

    where in the hell …
where in the hell did you come up with that screwed up logic? per capita the japanese have the largest pool of quality 125-169 lb fighters on the entire planet. even though asians may not be as invincible in MMA as they are in martial arts movies, the pure truth is the japanese are some of the worlds best in their more natural weight divisions of featherweight to lightweight and welterweight.

    Hayato Sakurai, …
Hayato Sakurai, Shinya Aoki, Takanori Gomi, Tatsuya Kawajiri, Takeshi Inoue, Kid Yamamoto, Genki Sudo, damn, I could go on and on. And what about some of the MMA’s best middleweights? Akiyama, Kazuo Misaki, Denis Kang, Yushin Okami, etc etc. none of those men are as good as Anderson Silva but their are shitloads of American, Brazilian and Russian fighters that they are better than.
